A lot of people are cutting out out the "when executing cryptographic operations" part of the phrase "could drastically degrade M-series performance when executing cryptographic operations", and glossing over the parts where it says "The researchers don’t yet know what kind of penalty will occur when this performance optimization is turned off" and "For browsers and many other types of apps, the performance cost may not be noticeable" for the rageclicks today.
