As the Boomers shuffle off the mortal coil I am already tired of the Gen X "we were so much tougher" stance they are going to take on Millenials and Zoomers.

Its not as bad as bootstraps but its close.

Both speak to the generational insecurity of each cohort.

Boomers had probably the greatest economoc scenario since the late Middle Ages served to them so, naturally, they constantly insist they earned everything themselves.

Gen X grew up raised in this level of comfort and so must assert how tough they are.

I already know what the Millenials annoying gripe will be which is things were so hard when they grew up in the era of greatest technological advancement in human history.

And the Zoomers will complain that technology created a dystopian nightmare.*
