Monero mining after 7 hours using normal CPU, the result was 0.0013 XMR on my account. This is equivalent to 0.22 EUR.
This was done using P2pool, the decentralized mining pool. The good thing is that they payout is really low and therefore you can get the money on your account on daily basis.
It does not pay off to mine monero today, as much as it didn't pay off to mine bitcoin 10 years ago. If this would have been BTC, it would have today a worth of 77 EUR. The difference is that nobody can mine bitcoin using CPUs nowadays but you can do it with Monero very easily using Gupax:
