Patents were woken by a one-year-old border collie at 5 am and led to their teenager's bedroom, where they found him slurring his words. Their son was having a stroke. Because the parents were able to get him immediate medical treatment, the teen's outlook is much better than it would have been. He still needs speech therapy, but otherwise seems to have full functionality.
