It’s only recently occurred to me that I need to be documenting the times we’re living in. I’m looking back to the unrest of the 1960s, which in relation to what we’re dealing with today, was child’s play. This is the most momentous time in the history of America since the Civil War It’s awful, but how lucky am I to be smack dab in the middle of it? How obtuse have I been? It’s insane. It’s all I should be writing about until the end of my life.

But how exhausting.
