for years ive ragged on traktor, rekordbox and serato for missing features, especially database management and mapping. but just now i'm learning that virtual dj, the "beginner" software i started out with on my 30 euro hercules controller and that no one uses anymore, not only outpaces all of the other software out there in database functions and mapping support, but has vst support and AN ENTIRE SCRIPTING LANGUAGE AS WELL. i'm losing my mind
