Vance and Walz are still relatively unknown, but Walz is better liked, poll finds
A poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research shows that Walz had a smoother launch as a running mate to Vice President Kamala Harris than Vance did for former President Donald Trump.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Ohio Senator JD Vance are introducing themselves to the country as they run for vice president, with Walz having a smoother start than Vance. Walz has a favorable view among 36% of Americans, while Vance has a favorable view among 27%. Both are well-liked within their own parties, but independents are slightly more likely to have a positive view of Walz.
