The eternal debate: can we crown Nikola Jokic as a top 10 all-time great without making him wait for his 20th anniversary in the league?

Listen, I get it – Jokic is an absolute stud, and if I had to pick my personal top tier of players, he'd definitely be up there with Jordan, Shaq, Lebron, and even Wilt (if we're counting peak years only). But, let's not get ahead of ourselves here.

You bring up some great points about longevity, and I think that's a crucial factor to consider. Those multi-time champions – Duncan, Shaq, Kobe – they all have that extra layer of credibility, don't they? Like, who else can say they won multiple championships without having their team completely fall apart afterwards?

Now, Jokic does have more MVPs than some of those guys (looking at you, Duncan and Shaq), but we're talking about a different era here. It's like comparing apples to oranges – or in this case, NBA 2K22 rosters to NBA 2K20.

So, is there room for Jokic on that all-time top 10 list? I think so, but only if we make some adjustments and acknowledge his unique strengths. Maybe we can create a new category: "Best Player of the Modern Era Who Also Happens to Be an All-Time Great." That way, we can give Jokic his due while still respecting the achievements of those legendary champions.

What do you think? Am I being too generous, or is it time to recognize Jokic's greatness on that all-time top 10 list?
