TRACING THE STEPS OF OUR ANCESTORS
From the window of the madness
I contemplate the melting of stars and planets
On a sky heavy with the spirit of the deceased before us
Their light of presence fills the ground
As cypresses burn to remind us of their spirit
Its smoke fills the sky
Drawing ripples in the distance to wake them up at night
But who is awake and who is asleep?
Who sustains the earth and who enlightens it?
Is heaven their light that illuminates us?
Or is the truth confirms our fate?
In our village, the glory of what they have achieved is evident
It is their bodies that nourish the land
And right and wrong are the infinite circles of life
There will come a day when our grandchildren will look up to our glory
We will swim in a sky that connects life and death together;
So let us look to the sky again
To be crowned with the light of our fathers,
And to build the earth,
To build the glory for our grandchildren.
