Trans people are literally just people trying to live their lives, like the civil rights movement, the women's movement, and the gay movement.
People fear what they don't understand. Imagine how it feels to be a girl, forced into the boys locker room because that's the gender you were assigned at birth.
Note: Intersex people are as common as red hair, and they have been traditionally operated on after birth and assigned a sex based on what they doctor decided. Gender is a social contruct. Sex is not black and white.
There are some olympic cis-gender female athletes/strong women who put trans men and cis men to shame.
Discrimination looks bad on you UTXO, it looks bad on everyone. I've heard you're a pretty cool guy otherwise. But just like racist or racist adjacent folks, being a "good person" in other areas, is no excuse.
A joke is just another way of telling the truth. I hope you will meet someone trans one day and/or care enough find out the truth for yourself.
