I’ve got something going on in the rose bed too. I remember the half circle of bulbs are common daffodils I rescued from an old bed, but wtf did I plant in the center? Surely it’s not the same as the very deliberate little horseshoe of daffodils? It’s gotta be a specimen, right?
And check out this wild little iris! I must’ve planted it. Why did I plant such a tiny flower twelve feet in from the edge of the bed?
Anybody got any tried and true methods of marking bulbs? I’m thinking of maybe a bamboo stake with a tape flag, and I could write “short iris” on the flag.
