I haven't played the separate ways dlc (Still waiting on the modder who made the Ada AI voice mod to update with all the dlc lines. I refuse to hear nu-Ada's voice) But the yellow paint shit wasn't quite this bad in the original game.

There's a No Yellow Paint mod as well, it's not currently on nexusmods I had to get it off a secondary mod site. It's definitely an improvement, I don't really have an issue still finding barrels and crates with items. I don't know what braindead faggot game journo whined about the visibility of boxes during testing and suggested they all be splattered with paint, but they shouldn't have listened to him.
