Back when the internet was still developing and every bit of gaming news wasn't readily available. It felt like every new game you found out about was a new personal experience. It's why the Touch Detective series is one of my favorites because I never seen anyone talk about it. This small little gem hiding in the corner of the DS game library.
Nowadays this sort of feeling is rare to experience because of how the internet has become so important to our everyday lives. I see why there are communities out there that exist around lost media.
