I used to have this a lot. it was not a pleasant experience. Because I could not stop it when I wanted to. it used to consume a lot of mental energy.
if it is not a pleasant experience for you too. I cannot reccomend meditation enough.
It helps to cut through the inner voice and over time the unsolicites inner voice slows down and practically disappears
