What exactly guarantees that nationalist groups won't just sell their nation's sovereignty away? What makes people think a guy siding with communist nations would really be interested in the sovereignty of his own country? Saying that it was "his only option" is a really poor excuse for a scenario that could potentially be even more disastrous than what history recorded. But I guess anything goes to defend your special brand of bootlicking. Saying that ideology doesn't matter is such a cope.
