LOL, G! My first cockatiel used to do that - she was a hand raised bird, and used to have all sorts of tricks like stealing food off my plate (naughty!) and sneaking out the feed doors of her big cage if I didn’t put clothes pegs on them to keep them locked down! She lived to be about 17, which isn’t a bad age for a birb. Her companion is still going, at nearly 22.
