Hmmm I don't think cls is blocking the mostr bridge ( https://fba.ryona.agency/?domain=mostr.pub or https://fba.ryona.agency/?reverse=childlove.space ), and we don't block it either. I think it's more about the fundamental differences between the ActivityPub and Nostr protocols and how their discoverability works: while both work through relays and some sort of federation, I don't think that extends across platforms/protocols.

This also happens with fedi, you also see the posts from the moment you start federating to the instance. Fetching objects before that point has to be forced somehow (i.e. searching for a post using the url directly in order to force federation), but it's not something each instance does by default since it resource-intensive.

>i am beginning to see why people think Fediverse is trash. everybody is blocking everybody not on personal but on instance level. what is even the point of being "federated" if everything is blocked.

This is an unintended, yet rather predictable, consequence of political polarization brought from mainstream platforms onto fedi. Maybe. Perhaps. Who knows. Before. :02_shrug:
