I once had someone call me and say they were from my credit card company and wanted me to give them personal information to prove it was me, I refused for obvious reasons. I got them impression from the woman in the phone that that was the first time that happened. I eventually ended the call and called the number on my card. Turned out it really was them. So dumb to teach customers that they'll get official cold calls asking for personal info.
