TOTALLY agree. If you care about your work (i.e. have pride in your code--or frankly any effort in any endeavor) you'll put in the time to make it perfect (or to the best of your ability).
But for many "good enough" is where they stop (and almost always it's not "good enough").
Alpha is fine...but even then it should work.
