The government spends more than it steals, just like the most maladjusted people you know.
To solve the problem, his indecent mind allows him to find it feasible to simply print more colored paper without ballast.
To his twisted mind, it is not even that wrong to dilute the entire population.
When he sees that it's going to go to shit, i.e. that the market will feel he stole and as a result devalue his currency (widespread price increases), he comes up (like the good convoluted mobster he is) with yet another indecent idea:
"Promise more money in the future (increased interest rate) to those who will agree not to use that money (which he printed without ballast) to buy real things (trying to escape the trap)."
In other words, he dumps the printed money out of thin air on our heads but doesn't want you to escape the problem. So that you are left holding the bomb, it promises you money in the future. Worse, some people are into it!
Don't invest in any kind of government bond this is insane, immoral and unethical.
