Several days ago, I got REALLY stressed about a situation in our household. I spent HOURS trying unsuccessfully to fix it. But God eventually did fix it.
The next day, as I ruminated about my reaction, a prayer formed in my mind. I printed it out and will tape it to the flyleaf of my Bible. I hope the prayer will encourage you in your own stressful situations:
“Father, I need this fixed. At least, ‘I’ think it needs to be fixed. So, if it is Your will and plan that this problem be fixed, please fix it for me – or show me by your Holy Spirit what ‘I’ need to do to get it fixed.
Regardless of what You do in this situation, I leave it now in your hands because I do NOT want to take it back into mine. And I thank you, Lord, for giving me another opportunity to TRUST you and to listen for Your voice.”
