Since everyone is talking about the Australian politics show #Nemesis , I couldn’t help but look up the character from Greek myth.
I think it’s odd that many definitions of ‘nemesis’ are equivalent to ‘arch enemy’. I suppose that’s what I thought it primarily meant.
But the Greek character is much a symbol of implacable, inescapable justice. A divine retribution to punish hubris.
