GM Nostr :) Wrote down a #Bitcoin thought to explain our cult to a no-coiner audience. Does this make sense? Is it too douche-bag-think-boy-y? Let me have it:

The term "Bitcoin lifestyle" is a bit of a paradox (and admittedly very cringe). On one hand, there is no unified community or culture, making it difficult to define a specific "lifestyle" that all Bitcoin enthusiasts share. However, on the other hand, many who tumble down the rabbit hole discover common values and interests, with a shared pursuit of truth and empowerment for individuals, small businesses, and communities.

If I had to define it...

A Bitcoin lifestyle is one that embraces long-term investment over short-term gains (low time preference), values autonomy, independence, and privacy (self-sovereignty), and assigns worth to things that require time and energy (proof of work). This lifestyle can manifest in various ways—passions for food intelligence, health and wellness, spirituality, art, technology, travel, human connections, family, community leadership, education, and becoming a perpetual student in an attempt to shape a brighter future.

While there isn't a single, unified community or culture, there is a phenomenon where those who have taken the "orange-pill" often find themselves happier, more hopeful, humble, and immune from the growing nihilistic tendencies that plague society today.

So, at the same time a "Bitcoin lifestyle" isn't a thing, it is a thing in that it represents a shared set of values that unite people in their pursuit of a better life and world.
