... while I agree its cynical to say all politicians are swamp-dwellers, the US example raised is a timely reminder that some most certainly are.
So it's equally unwise to hide behind rose-tinted lenses, treating all politicians as good faith actors until there's snoking gun evidence proving they're not. That's exactly how the architects of the neoliberal coup - both inside and outside Parliament - got away with fleecing the public from 1984-93.
