True story:
I saw a thread here on #nostr and it was full of anger and hate. Some people came to defend the recipient of the message. But the author of the message was not having it and calling everyone all sorts of names.
I asked myself shall I chip in? But then I stopped myself.
Instead of going on auto-pilot and call out the messenger, I stop and asked myself.
a ) why am I chipping in and what value can I add to the convo. Am I chipping in to virtue-signal or am I chipping in because I do not agree of the methods?
b) I noticed that even people who chipped in gave the messenger a kind and constructive words, but nothing talking sense to the messenger.
Bottom line, no one can SAVE you from your hate and anger but YOU. I chose my battle and which energy worth investing.
This time is not worth my time. In order to help someone they need to know they need.
The messenger in this story is very certain that his/her message is right and must be heard. Rightly so.
I do not agree with the method. But all I can give is compassion and understanding. Perhaps that person simply need to let it all out. Yes, it maybe offensive and to some extent hurtful to the receiver. But that is his/her freedom of expression and you are not everyone's cup of tea!

Lastly, if we all try to be more kind and compassionate, maybe we can start a meaningful discussion rather than throwing all sorts of hate and negative emotions to each other. It is counter productive and it is not solving anything but escalate it.
I am in no illusion that there are no negative forces around us. But those energy help us to become the better version of us. ❤️❤️❤️🙏
