Savings : On chain bitcoin in cold storage
Direct Deposit: Strike
Venmo like stuff: Strike
But peering into the future, I'm bullish on cashu for the "venmo" replacement.
Strike is the best intermediary to/from fiat.
I (may or may not) run a bitcoin and lightning node (depending on who's asking). And I will run a cashu mint soon (but I will never transmit money without a license). But unless there's people I transact with in *my* cashu mint, I don't see the benefit over just paying people with lightning on zeus. If its all mint to lightning or mint->lightning->other mint then its just an added complexity.
Cashu mints becoming community bank replacements where large portions of my monthly expenses are inside the same mint is the future I want.
I'm willing to work to make that a reality, but I don't really pay my friends, family much. So I guess the best approach would be add the local businesses I frequent first. If I give them money, try to convince them to join my mint?
