I see, most merges got corrupt on certain releases because bugs on the merge tab. So people start using super merger or others that are more advanced. Right now I think is already fixed need to try too making new checkpoints and see if finally works. Since installing extensions tends to fuck with dependencies but mostly happens for using latest release and some extensions work best on certain specific versions.
