I don't think people are ready for air travel becoming dangerous and fatal accidents becoming regular. People are used to airlines just landing safely because for the past few decades pilots were almost exclusively ex-military aviators, some of whom had to do serious shit like fly a B-52 22 hours straight from Guam to Hanoi, all while not getting blown out of the sky by SAM or AAA. People are not going to be ready for pilots who literally had SAT scores worse than choosing "B" for every multiple choice question on the exam.
