Surely this is the whole point of the VP?
Likely none of these Democrats want to lose their jobs and the election, and the reason they want to get rid of Biden is that they really feel that he's so far past it that he can't win. If he *can't* win, then someone new has to be chosen.
Americans love excitement and surprises. It's my belief that any new candidate would galvanize the campaign.
We will, quite certainly, see.
