My problem with the capitalism critique is that no one seems to know what replaces it, nor evinces appreciation for how unbelievably destabilizing it would be to change the economic system. All the solutions I see proposed are reductive or just plug-ins from other economic fantasies (e.g., 'we'll use UBI for this'). Unfortunately it's impossible to push back on all this without sounding like an apologist for billionaires, which opens up a lot of avenues for unproductive ad hominem.
