The app only uses approximate location (10 mile radius). It also only shows the approximate last location in which the appilication was open. If you are in costa rica and you open the app and close it, then fly to the USA and never open the app it will still say tou are in Costa Rica.
Also as previously stated you dont even have to show your location.
