A migration is obviously a complex and multifaceted phenomenon, and there’s no single cause or effect of large movements of people.

But someday, if there any of us left to do so, I suspect we’ll be able to look back at the mass migration of people from Central America to the US over the past few decades and think “of course people started leaving as the region began warming towards and then past the point of physical habitability.”
