In HK the slang for a small bird with very similar status and habit as the robin is "Pig shit bird"(Copsychus saularis). I always wondered about that name and then a few years ago I saw a documentary about robins in Europe and how they used to always follow behind the wild pigs around as the pigs were rummaging and digging up the ground. The robin's now have human friends to help with that so they'll like to hang out with the human diggers.
