If you connect with any of these characters beyond a sly grin, imo you have completely lost touch with most of the folks who’ve dealt with the fallout of this stuff for years. It’s simple—help Americans (or countrymen) first, support allies where possible, and don’t spend American (countrymen) treasure in countries where there is not an alliance or a strategic interest.
