(and to be clear, I didn't say Michigan; I said Detroit. Michigan as a State has a dynamic where the major urban centers are majority African American, but the surrounding suburban and rural areas are FULL of cracker fascists. The State itself, works to starve the urban centers of funding, while marginalizing non-white people and their elected officials. It's EVERYTHING wrong with American/white supremacist politics in the post Civil Rights Act era. I'm from Michigan; but I am ALL Detroit.)
