Your original position, “we should welcome them”, is quite different from the position in your last post, “we can’t stop them”.
The issue to me is what they’re paying for. In your example with oil, they’re paying to use bitcoin as money. This is great.
In the examples with ordinals and runes, they’re not paying to use the blockspace for money so I’m not ok with it. Yes, it’s true that we can’t stop it but my position is that we shouldn’t welcome it either.
