Leah is 4 and likes to read books so she brought "Noah's Big Book" to her Uncle to read.
We opened every peek-a-boo window on every page. There 2 pigs getting a bath, 2 snakes snoozing in a basket, 2 kittens causing mayhem, 2 foxes, 2 chickens (don't ask me how the chickens survived).
There were even 2 mice eating cheese.
On the last page, all the animals and Noah's sons and daughters-in-law are showed on the page under a rainbow.
Leah pointed at Noah's wife:"is that Mary?
I was so flustered. I didn't want to answer that I don't think we know her name. Then she asked the same question about each of the wives of Shem, Ham and Japheth.
I experienced second hand shame on God's God behalf. God, Why didn't you throw a bone to the four year olds reading your Noah's story and at least name your women characters? Also we're the mice stowaways?
Anyway
If your wondering about some women's names, here they are, Leah:
Josh:
17:3 But Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, had no sons, but daughters: and these are the names of his daughters, Mahlah, and Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.
17:4 And they came near before Eleazar the priest, and before Joshua the son of Nun, and before the princes, saying, The LORD commanded Moses to give us an inheritance among our brethren. Therefore according to the commandment of the LORD he gave them an inheritance among the brethren of their father.
