"everyone I know that stays connected to the news is miserable". THIS. It's like.. they don't connect it. I connected it and stopped. I had to. I mean, I would refresh news.google.com ALL DAY. People don't even know what a massive change to your mood it is. And I NEED that, as we've probably talked about and I've said on here, I have these stupid depressive issues for 30 years that I hate haha. My good days are fine and the meds, well, I need em. So I don't need MORE weird outside triggers for crap. Life is better when we focus on the small good we can do. Because that's all most of us CAN do. (and I have like, a billion interests, I'm never bored, I always have stuff to do haha)
