I'm late for #PhallusThursday today but here goes a fine Mangbetu male sculpture with an erect phallus. The #Mangbetu are a Central Sudanic ethnic group in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Traditionally, babies' heads were wrapped tightly with cloth, called "Limpombo", in order to give them the distinctive shape of the head you see in this piece.
