when i first joined a DIY speaker building forum at age 17 or so everybody loved me, because like a fool i believed all the nonsense that DIY speaker builders must believe - namely that DIY produces better results at lower cost than commercial speakers.

the more i started seeing the cracks in that logic the more push-back i started to get until eventually about 20 years later when i became the most knowledgeable person on the forum i was just banned because they didn't want to hear my truth - they wanted to continue believing their fantasies.

all movements are like this. they reward the idiots who believe all the tenets without questioning anything. and they ostracize anybody who digs for the truth and finds it.
