Building on Nostr is like the Roman legion transversing possibly dangerous territory. As soon as you find a spot you want to stay in for a bit, immediately dig trenches and put up a palisade, to protect the space.
Within the palisades, you can take time building a nice fort, and -- if you really like the area and want to reside there permanently -- later transitioning the fort slowly into a castle.
Maybe your castle can then collect a toll.
If you collect enough tolls, you might eventually be able to build a palace...
