I can never get over this completely unhinged take. People spout their insane thoughts to the internet then get mad that anyone can find and read them? So they want "only the right people" to be allowed to find them? At that point why even federate at all they should be operating on an only white list system, or just be self isolated to their own instance. But then, if they did that, they couldn't get those heckin BOOSTS they lose sleep over not getting, so it's a real catch 22 for the regular mastodon user.
