"content": "My chickens in the brooder are starting to get feathers, so the race is on to get my chicken coop finished.\n\nI repurposed an old 4x6 shed. I reskinned it with plywood, and cut in a door for retrieving eggs. I also made the nesting box walls hinged for easy cleaning.\n\nhttps://i.imgur.com/VtXTxdh.jpg\nhttps://i.imgur.com/G0XfCvV.jpg\n\nI made it so the front door opens completely for easy cleaning. Also it has a smaller chicken door that slides up and down.\n\nhttps://i.imgur.com/osa6gnv.jpg\n\nI took a power window mechanism out of an old car and made it so it can raise and lower the chicken door with a solar panel and a 12v battery.\n\nhttps://i.imgur.com/VkfUXu1.jpg\n\nhttps://i.imgur.com/yXBYJCj.jpg\n\nI plan to make it automated with a raspberry pi zero. With a manual override.
