"The Thing" is hardly in the same vein as "The Blair Witch Project" other than they're both horror.
The backstory to the latter was more interesting than the actual movie because of how they filmed it and deliberately scared the actors.
A horror youtube project I liked, but finished years ago, was "petscop", but it's done and over.
