the beauty of Nostr is that anyone can choose to code what they want, propose improvements to the protocol if they want, and others are FREE to incorporate them, etc.
the alignment is mostly on the protocol so that eventual applications remain interoperable, but that’s it.
users remain free to choose the clients and relays that make the most sense to them
a few devs/designers may collaborate together on a Nostr project, but not across all projects
