My Nextcloud service ended up having some issues yesterday.

I'm so thankful I backup each night.

It adds to my monthly costs but this is the second time in as many months those backups have saved me.

The next step is to talk one of my family members to let me setup a server in their home so I can backup there rather than in the "cloud."

P.S. Those wanting to help their spouses to go down the privacy rabbit hole, backups help there too. My wife doesn't want to lose her photos. That she's been able to restore them multiple times makes it easier for her to accept that we don't need Google to store them for us.
