#BookReview for "Lessons in Chemistry: A Novel" by Bonnie Garmus
Cringey
Let's have more publicity for the stories of real women pioneers in science and medicine instead of this. Pistachios combust? No. Hyperintelligent dogs and babies? No. Chemists referring to vinegar, salt and aspirin only by chemical formulas? Ugh. A woman becomes a perfect rower overnight by reading a textbook? Eyeroll. Eventually the MC succeeds - because of who her boyfriend is. Yikes.
At least the book is anti-religion.
