Why doesn't it say DONOR next to every poast and reply from people? A checkmark does nothing if you don't remind users somewhere that this means they donated. If you really like the checkmark badge, put it on the donate button so people associate it with donating.
Remind free users that some pay for them using the website. CONSIDER making it say the amount even, run that by the donors.
Make the donation link and button equal. Make them stick out more. Make them say "Donate and get a cool badge. Keep poa.st alive!" Put little Icons below for CC, Crypto, what have you. Consider taking gift cards. The text above the button now is way to meek. Do you want people to "consider" a donation, or do you want them to MAKE ONE?
