all civilizations have borrowed from others - nothing new under the sun - also incorporated local, animistic, pagan traditions to make a religion palatable, relatable. Even kids learn about Code of Hammarabi (or they did!). It's hilarious how people who wouldn't dream of criticizing say Aboriginal beliefs are perfectly comfortable tearing down Christians though
