I am stating for the record right now, I am not voting in the Samus vs Tamamo match.

I cannot decide between them.

So the #BestVidyaGirlContest final will be between Samus Aran (Metroid) and Tamamo-no-Mae (Fate/EXTRA). It will take place on Saturday. However, I do have something fun planned in the meantime – 6 Bonus Matches, 3 on Wednesday, 3 on Thursday, pitting characters who participated in the tournament up against rival characters from their own franchises who got snubbed (meaning none of them even made it into the Qualifier Poll). It will be fun to see if some of the girls who failed to make it were actually stronger all along than comparable girls who DID make it in, which could have implications for a possible future tournament next year…

These will all be same-franchise fights, so they may be less bitter than many of the other matches we’ve had, though who knows, maybe there are some vicious internal rivalries that I’m not aware of. I’ll keep the actual matchups a surprise for now, though I expect several of them to be pretty well received.
